Gunners Kids CIC launched in October 2024 to support families with children when a parent or carer has a terminal illness.

Originally, we planned to offer support boxes and activity/memory days to help families navigate the challenges that come with a parent’s terminal diagnosis.

However, it quickly became clear that families needed more comprehensive support. In response, we launched our drop-in sessions and outreach service.

We now receive referrals from social prescribers, family workers, schools, social workers, and other frontline professionals, and we had the pleasure of being involved in the NHS End Well Conference earlier this year. Despite everything we have achieved so far, we know there are still many more families who need our support.

This is where you can play an invaluable role, by helping us increase awareness of our organisation and sharing our details with any of your constituents who may benefit from our services.

Gunners Kids CIC is committed to supporting families in Cornwall with children when a parent or caregiver is facing a terminal illness. Our goal is to help families make the most of the time they have left together.
